Ibiza is 2 hours and 15 mins flying time from London. There is only one airport in Ibiza - known simply as Ibiza Airport. CanFin is a 13 km drive from the airport (approx. 15-20 minutes).
Don't forget - if flight times are inconvenient you can book separate outward and inbound journeys, travelling to Ibiza on one airline and returning on another. It could even be cheaper this way.

From April to the end of September EasyJet fly direct from Gatwick, London Stansted, London Luton, Newcastle & Liverpool. Fares vary greatly from £120 - £200+ return. It is possible to pay considerably less or more depending on how far in advance you book, the time of year and the day of the week. www.easyjet.co.uk
Stansted can be reached by direct train from much of England, but not in time for the 6.05 flight. National Express coaches run about every 30 minutes through the night from Stratford and Liverpool Street, the A7, as well as from Victoria Coach Station and Golders Green, the A6. GB Airways, run by British Airways, have flights from Gatwick. Book on www.ba.com.

There are several possible routes to take out of season. In 2008 Ryan Air started direct flights throughout the year. Prices can be amazingly cheap! www.ryanair.com. Otherwise, with a change of plane in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia or Palma, various airlines operate a service the year-round. (NB. Iberia, for example, check your luggage all the way through). Winter fares can be much cheaper if purchased from agencies such as: www.opodo.co.uk.
www.airberlin.com - ALL YEAR ROUND, from London Stansted. These flights are always with a stopover in Palma, Mallorca - but the stopover is never more than 90 minutes and they run all year round. This is the best off-season connection to Ibiza from the UK. Your luggage is checked straight through and connecting flight to IBZ wait for delayed inward bound flights from London. |
